Director

Hi I’m Alex! I was born in Nashville, TN and reared in Goodlettsville, TN. I am a graduate of Lambuth University, where I played football, and Vanderbilt Divinity School. I am an ordained Elder in the Tennessee Conference. As a pastor, I spent much of my 25 years serving blue collar and working poor communities in an urban church setting. I have always been active in ministries with the poor, marginalized, and imprisoned. My passions have always been around building community, taking church beyond its walls, and sharing the Good News of Jesus with all peoples. I love music, reading fiction, and watching Ted Lasso. I have 3 children: A son – Walker 13. And daughters: Sloan 9 and Scout 5. I am very excited to be the new Director at UCO Wesley and can’t wait to be a part of building a faith-centered, welcoming, inclusive, grace-filled, and fun community.

interns

Hi! My name is Lauren Williams and I am the president and intern here at the UCO Wesley. I am studying psychology at UCO and I will graduate in the spring of 2024. My plans are to then go to SNU in Bethany to get my master’s degree in counseling psychology! A fun fact about me is that my fiance and I have 3 animals: two cats and one dog! Most importantly, I love helping people, and one way I am doing that now is through the Wesley! I love seeing our students each week and the impact that this ministry has on others and myself is amazing! I love watching this community grow each week. We are one big family who loves to listen, help each other, and learn about Christ! I am proud to be a part of this inclusive ministry and I am proud to be able to watch these students grow!
